“Despre tandrețe” (On Tenderness) is a collage of texts from the writings of Matei Vișniec, directed by Andrei Mihalache. Premiere: 31 May 2026. Running time: 2 hours (with an interval). Recommended age: 14+.
“I have always been fascinated by words, these primordial ‘bricks’ of language. [...] These texts are in fact theatrical modules meant to enter a free competition between directors. The author imposes no order. These texts are like the shards of a broken mirror. [...] With these modules, which invite the building of a whole, the author wanted to impose only one constraint on the director: absolute freedom...” - Matei Vișniec
The collage uses texts from the following volumes by Matei Vișniec: Opera poetică, Omul pubelă, Trei povești de dragoste, Omul din cerc, Cabaretul cuvintelor, Despre tandrețe and Teatru vag.
