Drawing Competition “Drawing History - The Last Furrow of Romanian Land”

The 7th edition of the drawing competition “Drawing History - The Last Furrow of Romanian Land” is organised on the occasion of Romanian Armed Forces Day - 25 October, a day that commemorates the liberation of the last furrow of Romanian land in 1944. Young people are encouraged to express through drawing their respect and gratitude towards those who fought for the country's freedom.

Pupils in years 5-8 (Romanian classes V-VIII), not only from Carei, are invited to create drawings inspired by the heroism of the Romanian Army in the battles to liberate the country: Romanian soldiers, moments of battle, the courage and sacrifice of the heroes, the joy of liberation or other images inspired by the history of the Romanian Army. Each pupil may enter only one drawing, made on A3 format. Each work must state the pupil's first and last name, school, class, age and locality. Works created with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.

The works will be judged by a jury made up of representatives of the Carei Culture Directorate, the Carei Municipal Library and the Carei Cultural Centre. The best works will be awarded diplomas and literature books or albums about the municipality of Carei. By taking part, pupils agree that their entries may be shown in the exhibition organised by the Carei Culture Directorate at the Carei Multifunctional Centre and published on the institution's social media pages, with the author credited.
